Working with students ages 7 to 12, I designed a 7 week Summer Camp around visiting artists. Each week focused on different mediums, such as clay, fiber, drawing, paper mache’, animation, story collages, observation drawing and painting. Projects included making large-scale self=portraits, painted collaborative sculptures, embroidery on cyanotypes fabric and 3D cities. They visited many local locations including the Cape Disappointment Confluence project by Maya Lin, The Cranberry Museum and The Astoria Film Museum. There was also a special project in collaboration with Peace of Mind Pacific County.
